Terms of Service

Effective date: April 2, 2026

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Alaryon, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. The Service

Alaryon is a browser-based, text RPG designed for language learning. We provide the game, characters, world content, and supporting features. The service is provided "as is" — we do our best to keep it running, but we don't guarantee 100% uptime.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • One person per account. Don't share accounts.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

Don't:

  • Attempt to access other players' accounts or data.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to interact with the game.
  • Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities instead of reporting them.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the game client or server.
  • Use the service for anything illegal.

5. Intellectual Property

All game content — world text, quest scripts, NPC dialogue, artwork, code, and design — is owned by Alaryon. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Access to Alaryon requires an active subscription. Payments are processed by Paddle, our payment provider. Subscriptions renew automatically on your billing date (monthly or annually). You can cancel anytime from your account settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, after which your access continues until that date and is not renewed. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

Alaryon is a game. We are not liable for any loss of game progress, virtual items, or data beyond what is required by applicable law. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms. We'll notify registered users of material changes by email.
